The windows overlook a gated courtyard, so the apartment is very quiet, despite its location in the very heart of the historical centre: a symbol of St.-Petersburg – the Admiralty’s golden spire in the green Alexander Gardens is only a 1-min. walk away, the Hermitage, the Neva with its romantic drawbridges and the quay where boats to Peterhoff’s fountains, parks and palaces depart from, and Nevsky Avenue with its nice cafes, restaurants, theaters and shops are all literally just around the corner. No wonder that several famous Russian composers, ballerinas and opera singers chose to live in this imposing Belle-Epoque building, as attested by several memorial boards on its walls by the main entrance. The location is very convenient, and you can walk almost everywhere worth visiting. However, if your destination is somewhere farther away, it takes only 5 min. to walk to the nearest metro station.
